My design process (simplified)

Explained with an example

Stage I

There’s almost always a story

This collection explores Love. Not as romance, but as comfort, and connection.

Drawing inspiration from prayer beads. Not for any religious symbolism, but because so many cultures have a version of them. They're often about presence, repetition, and connection.

Stage II

Creating The right form(s)

The foundation of the collection is a bead design which gives the feeling of being held. A metaphorical embrace in form and texture.

The beads have a wrapped form which gestures closeness and care. This collection is a meditation on love as something grounding, something to hold, and to be held by.
